I have an older Marlin Mod 60, I am thinking about doing the trust and getting a can for it. Would you get a barrel and have it threaded or purchase one of these.

I wouldn't trust an adapter like that. It's a tacti-cool gimmick at best.

Use it for a flash hider maybe, but not a suppressor.

Too big of a chance for misalignment.

That adapter isn't what I'd call "precision". I'd get the barrel threaded instead. Plenty of guys can do that for a fair price.

Or get a new rifle that's already threaded. Savage has a pretty nice bolt action that would do the trick.

For a supressor, the threads must be concentric to the bore. You cannot get that type of precision with the slip on adaptor. Foring with a suppressor attached that way wiil rip the adapter of the barrel and/or cause a baffle strike.

As mentioned above, have it professionally threaded. You will also have to have the front sight post relocated. This will cist you about $150. A better idea might be to get a Savage FV SR. Already threaded and about $250.
