The Free State was all about Prohibition & the 18th Amendment to the US Constitution...

Merry-Land was the 6th State to Ratify the Amendment...

IN fact 22 of 24 Counties voted in FAVOR of Prohibition..?

However Governor Ritchie did not like the State being regulated by FEDS...

So Governor Ritchie simply refuse to enforce it...

He would not authorize 1 dollar or 1 man to enforce Prohibition...

Hence Merry-Land became known as "The Free State"...

BUT that was then & this is now...

We need another Governor Ritchie now, right now...

No one talks about a ‘beer debate’ because everyone understands today how f-ing destructive prohibition was.

If only that logic could persist in numbers enough elsewhere...

The primary beneficiary of Prohibition was organized crime. It's not that the Mafia and other criminal organizations would not have prospered anyway but Prohibition emboldened and enriched them sooner and to a greater magnitude than otherwise.

If the War On Drugs were to end, there'd be a lot of high-dollar DEA, MS13 & other gangbangers, prosecutors and defense attorneys who would be looking for their lost revenue stream, for the power and prestige they lost.

In order to protect the citizenry from hungry predatory lawyers, the MD GA would have to provide a new source of criminal activity to keep the courthouse doors revolving.

And that's where we come in. Red flags, anyone? Bump stocks and other firearms enhancements?

But not to worry, the W on D is not going away. Gangs of starving lawyers will not be prowling the streets and ambulances of our communities. And we still have Treasury agents scouring the hills for illegal moonshine, just like a hundred years ago.

Can you imagine all the lawyers out of work, prisons closed, budget cuts to law enforcement, EMS, rehabs and on and on. To much money to be lost by everyone involved. Who gives a $hit as long as everyone is making money. It's sad.
