Never been to a Popeye’s. Must be some sandwich. Also, I wasn’t there, but I feel like this stabbing could have been prevented if more people knew how to throw elbows.

just curious, you’re caring and you see someone getting murdered in Popeys, do you intervene?

This thing was over in 15 seconds.

First of all, you not gonna find me standing in line at a Popeyes in Oxon Hill, but if I did and two dudes are starting to fight and take it outside, I am gonna go for cover as I would expect it to escalate into a shooting. It's just that kind of place.

    I am not the police.

    That’s what most murders claim.
    And sometimes it's true .

It's an old Joke - Not Joke , about how to reduce your odds of being a homicide - ee by 90%

Don't Buy Or Sell illegal Drugs

    Don't mess with somebody's woman

    Don't cheat at cards/ dice

Don't hang out in sleazy bars

    * Please note , the above are Not Justifiable , but are indeed can be Victim Initiated .

I think most smart people who avoid conflicts would agree.

I believe you are in a similar age range as I. When I grew up in the 70's (HS grad 84) we would throw fists and fight, never to this crap point. Both sides would circle around for the fight. Once done, you were done.

There you have it, pretty much how I grew up. Worst could happen is a black eye or loose tooth. Fast track to now it’s more likely to be shot several times.

My carry class instructor's opinion was clear - you are not the police. Unless you are defending yourself or someone you love, don't get involved. In this state at least, I'm taking that advice.

That could be bumped up to 98% with addition of "Be polite". There are even ways of politely saying GFY. Diplomats and attorneys do that all the time.

That's good advice in any state or context. Don't get involved in something, with potential life-altering consequences, that you don't fully understand. That holds true for investing, too.
