Is that the tell tale D on the receiver leg? The scope numbers seem to look original if not old (60 year old reproduction). Im not schooled on Garands but have wanted one and been around them a long time.

The D on the receiver leg is part of the drawing number. If there was any engraving on the right hand receiver leg it could tell us more.

That grouping is worth more in parts than the listing. (real scope, 16" bayonet with hosed grips, nice lockbars, saw cut gas cylinder). If the scope mount is real, that's even sweeter. Can't see if that's right or not from the picture. If it is from the 50's the mount is probably real.

IF it's a real D it's worth way more.

If you want one to shoot, buy it now.

I somehow knew that one wouldn't last long. Hope it find a great "forever" home!
