Too bad it isn't permanent elimination.

Yeah I like the way you think .

I was looking to see if a hint to know what the so call big news is . By them knocking the site down may be a bigger fundamental change in the permit .

I realize I am grasping a straws but just wishful thinking . I think it is a minor change IMHO

Wear and carry permit application going fully online has been in the works for almost 2 years. Could be related.

Looks like a couple hour shut-down , but we know how the state works .

No big announcement has been made yet to what Fortress Training had claimed , i am waiting for the word and puzzled as to why Fortress took the live posting down . Maybe they jumped the shark .

Former Member here sent me a link the other day to verbiage on the DPSCS site. We aren't sure if it's old/boilerplate info....... or new.

    Board’s Action Requirements

Within 90 days after receiving a request for a review/hearing of the Secretary’s (of the State Police) action, the Board, at its discretion, may choose either to:

    1) Review the record developed by the Secretary of the State Police; or
    2) Conduct a hearing.

Decisions of the Board are not final until a written signed decision is sent to the applicant or holder of the permit

I've never heard that they had a choice to do one of two things.

They used to, but the laws changed.
They can only hold hearings now.
The ability to hold reviews was removed when the legislators added an OAH Appeal.

    Thanks.

My Buddy wasn't sure, figured maybe it was old/incorrect info. He was in the pipeline with me, he's also not sure what he'll do next. For a lot of us this has moved from something we were passionate about to..... a pain in the balls.

Former member who's real name rhymes with Cuck. He posted the same thing in a FB group trying to stir the pot as usual.

    He's a habitual stirrer, you've guessed correctly.

I'm not "on" FB so I am only updated via email every so often.

All, attached is the new statute, MD Code, Public Safety, § 5-312, that is now controlling on the scope of the Board's review and review by OAH.
