Took two handguns to the range this afternoon- my S&W Model 10 and my 1911.

Had fun with the Model 10. Went to shoot the 1911.....and had a small problem.

I made the best of it, though. See video below.

Not quite. At the end, I racked the slide. There was a FTE at the very end. :lol2:

There was this study where they had athletes train 100% real time, and then had another group train 50% real time, and 50% imagining that they were training. The group that did the imagining outperformed the 100% training group by 25%. I'm pretty sure Hillary Clinton lead that study.

I got a 45 ACP and planned on shooting it and realized I had 20 rounds, total, of 45 ACP ammunition in the house and 15 of those were Remington Golden Sabers. I hate buying ammunition, but I had to stop at Walmart to pick up a box of 50 for $14.

Last time i lugged my Mosin to the range i definitely forgot my box of 7.62 * 54R.

I told my guest that to imagine shooting it i would just club him in the shoulder with the metal stock. He was OK with this until I insisted on keeping the bayonet on.
