i didn't see where they wanted more humane firearms? because AR-15's were mentioned, guess most folks in their ignorance assume cops/hunters will be spraying gunfire all over the place which of course won't be happening. still, don't most if not all swat etc use 308 for sniper ops, that would be a better option, more energy downrange.

I am going by what was broadcast on WMAL today. The phrase "humane option" was mentioned by FCPD in the accompanying video from NBC4

The snowflake is concerned about using such a deadly weapon and it could malfunction? Other weapons cannot? I though they were killing deer, not keeping them as pets.

This is the lunacy of the left.

Thinking more about it, what the lefties are probably afraid of is if the local police use AR-15's to hunt, they won't be able to say the weapon "can't be used for hunting deer" in their gun control screeds. Be kind of embarrassing for them if they did and then our side pulls out photos of the local police doing just that.

They could run them over with Priuses. It would be messier but the body shops could use the work

Maybe they figure they can just talk to them and come to a compromise.

The hoplophobe resident interviewed doesn't care (or know) what caliber is being used, all she knows is that it's an "AR-15"

They showed one at 1:23 with a bump stock on it. She'd die of a heart attack if she thought they'd have bump stocks too. :shocked2:

If they really wanted to do this the safest way in an urban area IMHO the best method would be to have experienced hunters do the culling with bows. But that would probably drive the snowflakes nutso seeing men with bows and orange camouflage and possibly even penises in their neighborhoods. As someone with a little bit of experience in the policing field I don't think the PD should be putting any officer out there to do this who isn't an experienced hunter. Just my experience, when road officers start shooting at animals in neighborhoods it just never seems to go well, it just doesn't.

I agree. You never know what is going to happen in a neighborhood.

Some years ago, DNR used to use Ruger 10/22's to dispatch rabid animals or pests in populated areas. Then one day they shot a rabid fox and it didn't die right away. Some snow flake took a video of it thrashing around etc etc. and filed a complaint with everyone in the food chain. The result was they changed rifles to silenced .30 cal and I got a deal on a couple of lightly used 10/22's.

several years ago some libtard woman was yappin' against bow hunting in Fairfax County Parks to cull the deer. She even claimed the bow hunters would mistake a kid carrying sticks as a deer...

She wasn't stupid, just so anti-hunting she became rabid.

I say let the deer multiply, destroying all vegetation, spreading Lyme disease, and crashing into their cars.

In fact, we should suggest that deer from PA should be relocated to Fairfax Co. so that the deer can have better opportunities in a suburban environment.

MY thoughts too. You now have an example of common use and hunting. And promoted by law enforcement. It's a gift!
