    I picked up one from the same seller the day before you should of got yours as mine does not fit as well, but it will do. I went for the rougher one to match my rifle. I did take of my butt plate and its a 1906 no recoil bolt stock.

    Good job pulling everything together. You were sooo lucky to find an original hand guard! Guess it was meant to be.

    Thank you Mawkie previous owners brother took oven cleaner to it and sandpaper to the metal. From reading I tried to duplicate the metal with a aging chemical i have and steel wooled some wax on the wood the color you see is what came threw. And yes I have understanding wife and yes I got lucky finding that upper forearm other missing parts can be found. Thanks Again It means alot coming from a collector as yourself
