Noticed on southbound 5 just before Baptist church road there were 3 cruisers and one crime lab van this morning. Sheet was spread out covering what I can only assume is a deceased person. Pretty sure a dead deer would not get that much attention.

I am off of old village road halfway between RT 5 and old village road. The past year or so now I have noticed a trend. I sleep pretty light, the sirens seem like they dont stop anymore.. all night long all I hear is ambulance or cruisers up and down RT5 or old village.

Homeless people, seems to be lots of them around the old village road area. More than there was 10 years or even 5 years ago for sure. Myself and my coworkers have witnessed 3 times in the past week, a homeless man laying in the road while either sheriffs deputies or rescue squad tends to him. A local deputy told me a year or so ago that they spend alot of time dealing with homeless people in this area.

200 years ago they were called "Mountain Men"
But now there is no frontier for them to live in,, so they live in little patches of woods on the outskirts,,,

Gosh...this is all so sad...so many lives
    destroyed.
    I’m 68...grew up in NY...been in EMS,
    LE, FD, military.
I haven’t seen as much of “the real world”
    as many on this forum.
But, I tell you what, brothers and sisters,
the world just seems to me to be much
    harsher, meaner, more dangerous place
than ever before in my life.
Lord, we could all use a little help
    here, please...according to Your Will.
