I recently picked up a nice remington m1917 and am on the watch for a sling and bayonet for it. They dont have to be perfect collectors shape, the sling will get used as the rifle was intended to. Whats out there?

I just bought a RCi m1923 sling an put it on a M17 because it was the first one out of the vault.
The Rci’s are made by the original manufacturer but the latch buckle is definitely not the same. I see a lot of Kerr slings attached to M17’s and they are out there you just need to make sure the length is correct for a rifle and not a mg. You could probably find a Us manufactured p14 Bayo that’s been re struck for the m17 when production switched for the war. Every time I see them they are not as expensive as a strictly Us bayo but are the same thing and usually have additional acceptance marks and deflection marks (X) on them. The top band for both rifles is the same for attachment if you ever need to use it. I see Kerr slings any where from 125 + but hardly ever with the length as part of the description. Us only marked bayos are usually over 200 - upwards every time I see one anymore. I use both m1907 and older cotton Gi slings on my m17 rifles, a modern 1907 for shooting. |

I used to have a Remington 1917 and bayonet...the rifle is gone but I'll have to do a search through my room from hell to see if I still have the bayonet.

A quick search at Liberty Tree Collectors didn't find what you're looking for but their stock is always changing. Good luck.

I think this is the one I bought for one of my rifles, its a good repro if you don't want to track down and pay for an original. It's also quite functional for shooting/carrying so you're not beating up an original |

Nice. I used that sling in a high power match a few weeks ago and it did the job. Good luck finding a bayonet

Here are two examples for your consideration. I came up empty handed from my usual sources.
