It gets better. From today's E-Letter:
3. More Crime.
The day before yesterday’s report on the serious assault in next-door Tuxedo Park prompted one reader to send in another crime notification. (This is not a police-verified report.)
Yesterday, a Woodlawn Road (Plat 1) resident came home at about 3 to find that her house had been broken into. Apparently, the burglar(s) broke a window in the back of the house and managed to get what I am told was about $10,000 worth of goods (mostly electronics, watches and so on). Earlier, at about 2:30, a friend of the victim’s had dropped off a coat, putting it between the storm door and front door. This noise seems to have spooked the burglar(s), who dropped the TV they’d been carrying and left. When the victim came home after 3, she walked in and saw the dropped TV and the back door hanging open. The burglar(s) were not in the house by this time. The burglar(s) got away with a basket full of stuff and, apparently, nobody saw them.
Folks, I know it’s nice and it’s tree lined, but please lock your doors in Roland Park all the same.
