Looks good. What optics/irons? Gas block? (Adjustable?) Can?
The Noveske barrel comes with a gas block. Can is in the distant future. Optics will be irons until I can swing an Aimpoint T1.

OK, what's the legality of building an AR pistol? Anything I need to be aware of? Does it have to have a front grip and made an AOW?
Just make sure you build it from a stripped "virgin" receiver and you should be good to go. This is how I understand the law, others may chime in with more info.
Ben, it still can't begin life as a complete rifle only. That's still the law.

So when I buy this lower, have them call it a pistol? A "receiver"?

I know it doesn't look like it but it's almost finished. I just need the 10" Noveske barrel and 9" Troy HG. The build list so far is:
I know the build is finished, because I've fired it
But we need pics dude..!!!
Russ,
If one were to just buy an upper for a pistol, which would you suggest?

What caliber and for what purpose?
I've picked up a few parts to start this build (RR pistol tube, Stark grip with single point sling) but am still fuzzy about the legality of it; aren't AR pistols considered variants of the Bushmaster AR pistol, and therefore a no go?
My 300 BLKOUT upper will very very similar to this. Same rail but 1" longer.

NO. End of story. The Bushmaster was NOT an AR. Bushmaster DID NOT make an AR pistol when the law was passed.
