That's kind of what I was thinking. When they finally use those lists to round up firearms, you will be long gone.

I will be doing just that shortly, to a state which does not infringe on our 2A rights. That being said, is there a process that I reach out to the MSP and tell them I am will no longer be at my home address associated with my HQL?

It is enraging enough that the MSP has a controlled firearm (pistols etc) registration. I will obviously be taking my firearms, and would ideally like to be removed from the registration database.

Thank you in advance for your input!

Guess I will put Tennessee on the list of retirement states to look at....

Was thinking Montana, but it might be a bit cold for my old bones.

Same. I'm looking at about 4-5 years before I can get serious about thinking toward doing a soft-retirement elsewhere. I don't quite know where were going to target for a place to retire to though. Northern NC is high on the list - a bit warmer but still have seasons, but I've also toyed with TN, and maybe even FL - the missus thinks FL will be too hot.

I moved to Florida in 2018, I did nothing. When I went to their MVA, I was asked if I wanted to apply for my carry permit. The whole visit lasted 17 minutes. I love this place!

It's great how this is turning into a "Destinations after we all escape from MD" thread.

its challenging. they got their eyes on GA, AZ, and NC now. Short of a show of not being welcome liberals will continue to not like liberal laws and policies and more ( CA to CO is a good example) and bring their voting with them. The other thing is demographics as blacks are 90% likely to vote dem and i think latinos are 70% likely. Both groups according to various stats are the poorest groups by race and ethnicity are having the most babies while asians and white people ( wealthiest) are having the least. I doubt a "Don't breed em if you cant feed them rule will be invoked.

I moved from that dump of a state years ago. Get your driver license and insurance in the new state within 30 days your good to go and tell Md nothing. I donít even pay state income tax thatís how I could afford to move here back then. You can buy a gun here in under an hour if you know what you want and can afford it none of that waiting BS. Acadamy Sports the best place to buy reasonable prices and give vet descounts.
