The guy who won in the Small Boat Category last Year WON again this year - a 79.5 pound white Marlin.
    $1.5 million PER win.

Entry fee is maybe $10k per boat? someone here knows...
    How do they split it?

Michael Jordan fished the tournament too. He brought his rowboat.

Entry fee is only about $1200 or so. It is the calcutta's that cost so much money. These "side bets" could add another $40k or so to the cost of your tournament. The difference is possibly having the largest Tuna and winning $20k and having the 2nd largest Tuna and winning $1M.

The fisherman can decide how it gets split up. Captain gets more and the mate gets some extra. When I used to fish it, we were all friends so we decided to split it evenly.
