That looks a lot like the one I sold a few years ago. Mine had a C#### serial number. I actually made money when I sold it. Nice pickup, now you need a matching year Colt Police Positive.
Got a holster for it today at the show. It's a vintage Hunter 1100 that was never used and I also got it cheap. Nice thing about these "obsolete" revolvers is that holsters can be found cheap. It's for a 5" barreled revolver though, so I guess I need to get one of those too eventually.
Great finds! That Model 10 would sit in the back of my safe, too pristine for the range. IMHO early post war vintage is the sweet spot for collecting as prices on most pre-war stuff has gone through the roof (price an early Colt 1911 in 38 super lately?).
I've got to carry it a few times, but I don't have any plans to fire it anytime soon. I'm still looking for a stainless Ruger or S&W to be a blasting gun.
