.358 lead may work for 9mm although it is not the most common size used. .357 and .356 would be. You would need to slug the barrel to find out. Then the larger bullets would need to camber in order to work properly. The larger size may not. Bullet nose profile would also make a lot of difference as I would guess most designs for 38 spl/ 357 would not feed in a 9 mm.

As far as hard cast, I would want to start no harder than 12 BHN

I somehow had some good luck this weekend and some guy sold 1500 lead round nose 124g .356 bullets to Gunrunners. I was able to grab them.

If I was in need of more lead bullets, I'd give these guys a try. If you get some local buddys you can bundle an order in and save lots of $ in shipping the way he uses USPS flat rate boxes.

The way he does the 6 small boxes that's just $2.38 a box if you get 6 boxes. I have not used them yet.
you have to add things up to see where you are. Mastercast may be able to do just the same and is priced less.
I have almost finished loading my 1000 box of 9mm I got from them this winter.

A good bit. They are just south of the pa turnpike, just east of the OH / PA border.

Given drive times from my home to the eldest's college, I'd allow 3.5-4 to make it there from Frederick. It takes me 1.5 to breezewood and then 2 hours to 79/76 and Enon Vally is past the 79/76 interchange by a little ways.

I don't reload metallic yet, but if I did this is the place I would try. Especially if he would allow pickup. Look at his shipping policy. He self insures so there's no hassle when usps destroys the box which happens a lot since the boxes are too heavy for their equipment.
