It's monolithic which I really could care less about. Just means you're stuck with the Quad Rail for ever.
Its an integrated upper I think. Forarm and upper receiver are one part. I think they'd run afoul of the vltor(?) patent on 1-pc uppers if they brought them into the states. Though Colt could prob just pay a licensing fee too. Mega had to redesign theirs to two pc after the patent was approved.
