Viking VTAC Sling questions

I was thinking about the VTAC Mk2 wide sling with cuff. Thing is it is about $86 +shipping.
My question is how important is the cuff for target shooting? I know what it does, but can you still be "good enough" without the cuff?

The regular VTAC's are half that price. Is it worth it? Has anyone tried with and without a cuff?

Best sling w/cuff. less expensive and adopted by the USMC as the sling on the new MK11's.

I have a couple urban ert slings and i love them, but i don't think they offer a cuff sling.
