    First, sorry for the size of the map. It's a direct link. But it's nice to see Carroll County a nice forest green.

    It looks like a majority of counties in the US are 2A sanctuaries, although I'm sure the meaning of that may differ from place to place.

    So this only protects State level offenses, correct? The ATF can still have its way with you.

    It’s a weird term with no real legal definition, but as a general matter, yes, state law cannot preempt federal law, so the ATF/FBI/DOJ can enforce federal firearms laws anywhere it wants to regardless of state laws.

    Some of these places may also be interpreting their state/local laws as removing certain federal reporting requirements, although we’re that ever challenged in court is would certainly fail.
