Moved to Texas
Greetings,
Just received my second C&R purchase yesterday from Classicfirearms. What a class act they are, shipped very quick and the gun arrived in perfect condition.
The gun arrived with NO COSMOLINE, which surprised me (heres to you, Classic!).
I think this gun is very close to new, it has light holster wear near the front of the barrel, very good barrel (looks almost new to me) with strong rifling.
Its a Romanian Tokarev, Model TTC. According to the stamping it was manufactured in 1953, and has the RPR in the star for the "People's Republic of Romania" on the grips.
Its obvious what the designer took from the Browning 1903, and I really like the way it looks. It is smaller than I expected from photos, but feels really solid in the hand.
It is quite solid, made entirely of metal, but is very slim and imho, an ideal carry pistol.
I have not shot it yet, but I plan on getting it checked out and taking it to the range. It is obvious it does not have many rounds through it.
Enjoy the pics.
