There is some rumor that the County Council wants to allow citizens to enforce traffic laws? Be able to issue citations? Imagine all the Karens patrolling the roads!

There is some kind of online meeting tonight about it.

I’ve been known to have a bit of a lead foot so if we’re self policing now I look forward to letting myself off with a friendly warning.

A big part of this plan is putting red light and speed cameras everywhere.

Seems like they’re everywhere already, can’t imagine what the next phase looks like. I lived in Damascus when they started putting them along 124 and 27. Now I’m close to QO Rd and had to learn all the new spots when I moved down here.

And when Karen or Ken get assaulted by angry motorist, who is going to foot the bill when Karen or Ken sue the county for unsafe work environment?

Not a fan of cameras but there is an intersection I frequent where one *really* would be in the name of safety. New Hampshire and Valley Brook has a High School, a Middle School, a Church, an assisted living facility, and bus stops on either side of New Hampshire. I proceed with much heightened awareness. The intersection of Kemp Mill and Randolph is bristling with electronics and IMO is just a great revenue opportunity.

Let's see what would happen: vigilante-ism...people trying to settle grudges...bullying...

    Just to name a few.

Wait till Karen tries to pull over a wanted felon who ain't goin' back to prison.

Or even ticketing a hothead who isn't taking any of that shite.

All in all, sounds like a good way for Karen to get her fool head blown off.

    Traffic stops are dangerous.

Or wait till a Karen pulls you over and claims that you pointed a gun at her. Easiest way to get your guns from you eva! They can make the claim and not be held accountable if they lie. It's every Demoncrats wet dream.

Yes, but Jawando's assertion is that cameras aren't biased. Cops however are racist devils.

Soo.... what happens when a majority of the camera tickets go to <xyz> because the majority of people living in that area are <xyz>?

What sort of twisted logic follows from that?

They are either not capable of thinking things through or don’t want to. In MoCo it’s usually both.
