I have some rifles that I want to sell, what dealers in N VA or S PA will do consignments? These are illegal in Maryland.

I would have to believe that just about any reputable dealer would be willing to do so.

    Maybe Freedom Armory?

Also, aren't their Maryland gun dealers who sell prohibited to out of state buyers? That may have changed post-2013, but there were always goodies on the walls at shops that were tagged for out of state sale only previously.

"regulated" long guns can still be sold to in state via the LEO market as well, as a personal 'duty rifle' with official letterhead approval AFAIK ?

Remember that when you consign it, it goes on their books. If it doesn’t sell you may have a hard time getting it back since it’s banned in MD. I had to do a 4473 and state check in VA to get a consigned shotgun back.

I'd call Sharpshooters in Lorton, VA. I've consigned a lot of guns through them, their clientele pay more versus the stores in PWC. And they get a lot more foot traffic over other stores since they have a range on site. I'd suggest you keep any pre-13 rifles, though. Unless you're really hard up for cash or have a lot more on hand.

Take it down to Loudoun guns. Depending on what you’re selling, they may buy it from you at a premium. About a year ago, I bought a Colt carbine for $900. I just sold it to them 2 weeks ago for $1,150.
