I particularly enjoyed the three professors’ claim that the campus carry law doesn’t pass 2A muster because guns on campus aren’t “well regulated.” Ladies, meet Mr. Heller. He had this little case, once, that can help you to understand the Bill of Rights. Because, you know, we can’t expect college professors to be up on that.

How will conservative and libertarian students feel free to express themselves now that they know the professor harbors animus towards them? Clearly she has chilled their speech and by her own logic she should be banned from classrooms.

I'm glad the original judge and the panel saw through this nonsense. The complaint ignores reality: a lot of the sorts of killers the professor is worried about turn out to be mentally-off liberals. She should be thrilled that conservative and libertarian students - at least a few of them - would be able to step up and defend her and everyone else in the classroom if another crazy leftist killer cuts loose.

This entire suit was a thinly veiled platform to express the three professors' contempt for non-leftist students.

So, the campus carry law looks to be about two years old now. And exactly how many bloodbaths have been caused by these people legally carrying at colleges and universities?

How many people have they killed because they disagree with them?

Just an FYI this ruling covers the following courts .

The United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit has appellate jurisdiction over the district courts in the following districts:

    Eastern District of Louisiana.
    Middle District of Louisiana.
    Western District of Louisiana.
    Northern District of Mississippi.
    Southern District of Mississippi.
    Eastern District of Texas.

Texas is divided into four federal judicial districts, each of which is comprised of several divisions. Appeal from all Texas federal courts is to the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans. The Fifth Circuit is composed of Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.

You missed a few, including the court where this lawsuit originated:

    Northern District of Texas
    Southern District of Texas
    Western District of Texas

I took this off the web.

    Read the last paragraph
You made the false claim that the 5th Circuit only hears appeals from one of four Texas districts. You then edited that out of your post but without actually fixing your list to include the three other Texas districts that are part of the 5th Circuit.

For the record, this is the full and complete list of federal district courts under the 5th Circuit:

    Eastern District of Louisiana
    Middle District of Louisiana
    Western District of Louisiana
    Northern District of Mississippi
    Southern District of Mississippi
    Eastern District of Texas
    Northern District of Texas
    Southern District of Texas
    Western District of Texas

And again, for the record, this lawsuit originated in the Western District of Texas.

So the part that you edited out of your first sentence (which left a dangling space before the period) about how not all of Texas is covered by the 5th Circuit came from someone else? Please tell us who/where so we can contact them and have them correct it.

If it’s not correct fell free to correct it
Already corrected. Twice. Let's try a third time:

Sorry to disappoint, but I will continue to point out false information spread by ignorant people who can't be bothered to even check Wikipedia.

I’m enjoying life here and especially life under CA5. They narrowly missed tossing out the “Out of State” handgun purchase ban a few months ago. Not to mention the 3D gun printing cases. Yes, Campus Carry was passed legislatively 2-3 years ago.

Another nice thing about Texas is that Legislature only convenes once every two years. Less chance to eff things up in a fervored moment.

Permitless Open Carry is going to be brought up again next session in 2019 according to my Representative. Kind of a Mike Smiegal type here in Tx with his passion.
