For those who like old and new BP and metallic cartridge. In the back is an electroless nickle 1860 army (2 gen). In front a 1907 .45 i still shoot.

Electroless nickel 1860 army? Maybe I'm missing it due to the lighting. The second one from the front looks like a .44/40 Frontier Six Shooter. That one also looks to be on a black powder style frame and has the "bullseye" ejector rod too, sweet! A very nice collection of six guns!!

Here are a few more. The 1851 navy has been plated or nickled but the markings are sharp. The others are 2 gen. A couple of dragoons and a walker. If you never hefted a walker inone hand, its heavy.

An empty Walker weighs about 4 1/2 pounds...no lightweight by any means. It's why they and the Dragoon models that followed were referred to as "horse pistols"...they were to be in holsters attached to the saddle due to being so heavy. At the time the Cavalry saber was still considered the prime weapon.

Two reasons they were Horse Pistols :

Need a horse to carry them, particularly in pairs

They will shoot thru/ knock down a horse

I have a small collection of Colt 2nd gen BP revolvers. I sold more of them than I still have.
I had an 1860 Army in Stainless steel. It was one of 500 made. Are you sure that 1860 is not one of those?
