So here is my idea. I would like to cut my semi auto shotgun bolt handle off at the handle and attach a aftermarket handle to the stock one. After advice from other members I was told a TIG weld would be the best route for this.

I will attach pics below. Any ideas guys on this?

Cut this handle and attach to stock one.

Is the stock handle stainless? How bout the new handle? Would be simple to tig weld but if they are dissimilair metals it can make refinishing a chore and limit your options.

i thought of that as well, before i decide i am going to weigh them both and get an idea, i have several different recoil springs, at different weight ratings to off set any minimal additional weight

I wouldn't be worried about the recoil spring so much as I would beating up the bolt where the handle fits into it.

Just a thought, Tromix makes a "tactical" knob that goes on the end of the Saiga 12 charging handle, it would appear to work on this too. Just a thought.

The only company that makes aftermarket bolt handles for cz semi autos is Nordic. They should be doing another run of them soon but I am impatient.
