Took advantage of the dreary weather and finally got around to prepping a batch of 223 WSSM cases. I was wondering how many others out there reload this cartridge and what you're using?
These are going to get 55gr Combined Technology Silver Tips over 46gr of H414...should put me a little under 4000fps. I also want to pick up some of the Sierra Blitz Kings and give them a try.

It's a fun little round to shoot and easy to reload, based on a shortened and necked down 300 WSM case. Winchester came out with it back in 02 or 03 and manufactured a really short action for it along with Browning. I try to keep it around 4000fps to go easy on the barrel but it's capable of much faster and still be at safe pressures. I've read where Hornady pushed a 40gr Vmax to 4600fps!

If it wasn't for the "Oddball Caliber Fans" we probably wouldn't have half the calibers we have today. The 22-250 being a prime example.

Yep,, My kid and I form and load a bunch of oddballs.
    17 Squirrel
    17 Heebee
    19 Calhoon
    19 badger
    22 K Hornet
And a few larger caliber others.

I also am looking at the .25 WSSM. I would buy 1000 cases before I bought a barrel or upper. That is what I did with my 40X in 6.5 mm Remington Magnum.

    Good luck
