    I found something very similar out at the BLM spot where I shoot. Looks like it was intentionally done to neutralize misfires. I'd never seen this before.

    Almost looks like some kind of firearm feeding system has too much spring pressure and is deforming the cases. Weird.

    That little smiley in factory-new ammo happens in the case forming process when the die presses the sheet brass into a cup shape. A sloppy mandrel fit tears out the brass. I blame old, tired machinery.

    No idea what's causing that snakebite tho.
