Here is the same Muzzy Trocar HBX head I covered in this thread. I just put down an 8 point with it and its still sharp!! See Bambi thread for the story.

I put this through double beer boxes with mulch 3x's
A doe and pass through and 12" in the dirt, needing resharpening.
Today spined an 8 point right under me and he collapsed right there. I slightly bent one expandable blade.

I am going to reuse this arrow and broadhead until one breaks or fails, just to see how far they will go. Spining a mature buck is a fairly good test!!

I gotta give some love to the QAD Exodus. All the great features of what you'd want in a fixed blade. Easily sharpened and durable blades. Also easily replaceable if one does nick a blade with a rock

I tried using the Rage mechanical broadheads for my crossbow but on 2 separate occasions back to back 2 separate broadheads failed to open. I switched to steel force broadheads and never looked back. Quality broadheads and they stand behind them and made here in the good ole US of A. https://steelforce.com/

G5 Deadmeats are my favorites. I used Rage Hypodermic Trypan's a couple weeks ago because my local shop was out of G5's and I was not impressed (partial failure to open). With one minor exception for me a couple years ago, the G5 Deadmeat reliably drops the deer inside of 40 yards.

Dusting off the thread. G5 rolled out a new non-vented Montec this year. I'm swapping out the old Montecs and giving the the M3s a go. Has anyone else used them yet?
