I need to re-key the front door lock on my commercial space. Its one of those aluminum doors with a full glass panel.

    Pm if interested.

A few years ago I needed a locksmith and someone recommended a Member here who was a former LEO. I had him do some work for me and he was great but I cannot find his contact info.

If anyone knows who I might be referring to please MSG me or post. Or if anyone can recommend anyone else thank you.

This is a guy that lives down this way and is apparently "the man".

Quiet old dude - just a plain guy from my interactions with him in the coffee shop. People around here love him.

Take it apart and off to the hardware store to rekey?

The side plate comes off with 2 phillips screws.

Then usually a flat head or allen holds a setscrew that keeps a burgular from winding the cylinder out.

Count the turns coming out so you put it in the same way.

Our local glass man now has a locksmith department. Watched him do it a few months ago.

Do you have a master key? That way you can remove the cylinder and replace. Cylinder costs about $20. I had to do this about a month ago.

Removed the cylinder, drove back to Glen Burnie to locksmith I’m familiar with. While gone deadbeats came, opened the door (???). Removed some of their stuff. Next day I couldn’t get the cylinder to work right so had to call a locksmith anyway. Approximately $300. Which got added to their overall bill. Sorry M F’ers.
