    Bradmac,

Al bought a post 10/1 Tavor from Fred's yesterday. Drove straight to MG to test fire it. It was flawless, despite of the long compensator. ( which BTW, helped with the muzzle flip)

It worked with initial snags( AL had the aimpoint mounted backwwards). But he lucked out, that aimpoint was spot on without adjustments. Al's new name is Al Tavor Amrheeki .

He should be at MG today practicing the " Israeli hold" on his brand spanking new Tavor.

Damn, Al's just going on a spending spree these days.

    You've been a bad influence. ;)

Just got back from taking my FDE Tavor to the range today to zero the Trijicon SRS and try it out with the SDN6.

As you can see from the zero target pic, it can be very consistent and definitely a tack driver...this was a 50yd zero.

Shooting it unsuppressed is great, loud though with the AAC brake. Suppressed is definitely quieter and awesome, except you get a shot of gas in the face with every shot. Shooting slow is manageable, but if you rapid fire and are not controlling your breathes in...you'll easily get a mouthful/nose full of that stuff in you...not to mention how bad it irritates your eyes...when you step back from firing, you will have tears rolling down your face.

    Still love it though!

Those are some really cool rifles...I've been looking at them for a while now. I'm wondering why most of the pictures show them with just the standard flash hider (or a suppressor)? Unless they were bought before Oct 1, 2013, I'm under the impression that they aren't legal in MD. I've talked to several dealers and have gotten about 5 different answers, so I decided to contact the MD State Police. I exchanged emails with someone from the Firearms Registration Section, and basically they said it had to have an extended muzzle break or flash hider to make it over 29", and that extension had to be pinned and welded into place to make it a permanent part of the barrel. Please inform me if there's something I don't know, or should I just find a dealer that has one with a pinned & welded muzzle device? Does anyone know of a MD dealer that has them available with a pinned welded muzzle device? Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry...I meant with the pinned/welded muzzle device? Thank you.

We have them in stock, and have a variety of muzzle devices available for the 18" model. We only have one style flash hider that will bring the 16" to OAL. Nothing is permanently mounted until the customer decides what he wants, though, since some folks may prefer to use a QD style mount for a suppressor. They can be hi temp silver soldered on.

Thank you very much. How much would one be (18" model), out the door, with a $50 (or so) extended break, pinned and welded?
