Hot suppressors

What do you folks store your hot suppressors in after you take them off the host?
We went to the range today and had to leave in a hurry( late for something). My son was shooting the 308 bolt and the suppressor got hotter than hell. Normally, I would put it to the side and wait for it to cool off enough, but we had to leave quickly. i have a mirage cover on it, but the ends were to hot to touch. It was too hot to put in range bag or anything nylon based. I am looking for ideas to keep stuff from melting to it. I have a few centerfire cans so I can see this happening with more than one at a time.
Thoughts?

Couple of wraps of tinfoil, and then into a pot holder.

I think this has been discussed before - I believe it was Clandestine who mentioned using a steel thermos.

I wrap it in the silicone pot holder that I used to remove it. Then I slip it into a cotton pouch that is not affected by the heat.

This is the porch I use. I have a lot of them In different colors. I use them to keep tools organized as well.

It will melt that if you allow it to contact the suppressor.. Just keep it upright if you can.

I know this isn't what you ask; but I typically burn a cigar and relax for a bit while I let mine cool... I find it to be the best way to end a range day, and everything is cool when I case it. ;-)

I settled on Chad's suggestion of splitting the Bowers cover and dropping that into a #10 canvas tool bag

I've found that FireClean and such cooks off my brake, rendering it useless as a preventative against carbon locking.
