Ok, alright, you’ve made your point...you’ve got something really cool and we don’t.I've been looking for one of these for a few years now . It's a MK2 (Kabar) blade turned into a M16 bayonet .
Now man up and be a good shipmate. Where’d you get that lovely bit of kit?

In 1975 Rock Island made 30 or so of these and dubbed them M16 sniper bayonets , They were experimental and never went into production . They used surplus USN MK2 blades from WWII and M7 bayonet guards and pommels . Rare as hell and I'll likely never find one let alone pay the asking price .
In 1985 SARCO made a repro of it with Conetta MK2 blades and M7 bayonet guards and pommels. These pop up for sale from time to time but are typically beat to hell or put off as a original and asking stupid money .
I found this one on Ebay , seller was asking $200 or best offer so I offered $125 he came back with $150 so I bought it .
Sooner or later I was going to end up sacrificing one of my MK2s and a M7 to make one myself . Glad I found this one . It will fit right in the case , after some rearranging lol
