I'm putting together a ride up to the Flight 93 Memorial in PA the weekend of 9 September. I know we have a lot of members who ride so I though it would be a good idea to put the invitation out.

This could be (A)an up and back day or (B)an overnighter on Saturday and come back Sunday, depending on the interest. Plenty of reasonably priced hotels in Somerset, PA and lots of nice roads between here and there.

And if you've never been to the Flight 93 Memorial it's definitely a must see.

If you are interested post up here and give me your preferred option.

Depending on my work schedule I might be able to do a meet up at the memorial since I'm only about 25 miles from the site. I'll update as the date gets closer and the thread progresses.

    I'M IN!

One day or overnight, I'm good with either. If its overnight, I just need to make tracks back early Sunday.

Let me know if you want help with routes or logistics.

If we're adding more than MDS'ers, I probably have another couple or two.

Wasn't sure if you just wanted to keep it "in house" or not.

The more the merrier, just thought I would throw it out to those here that ride.

Just heard from Welder516, he, his lovely wife and son are also in. His son rides in their sidecar, pretty cool rig.

I *might* be able to make it, depending on SWMBO's attitude. Heck, we might get her to join us, but be forewarned... she rides slow.

I have a new Garmin 395LM for navigation, FWIW.

Took me a minute, lol. Does she have her own scoot?

Several other wives/girlfriends going if that makes a difference.

She does have her own scoot... a Sportster 1200. BUT, she doesn't like going fast (ie, over 55 mph), and tends to go slow in corners, and doesn't follow closely enough for my liking. She's a competent rider for sure, with an overabundance of caution (her mom was in a bad m/c accident years ago, and lived, but barely).

Also, someone's gotta watch the kid ;) (but if she wants to go, grandma would certainly be happy to take him for a weekend, lol. I swear, my kid is like crack for her)
