The security system won't hold the key programming so I have to reprogram the key every time I want to drive it. I have a code p062f

Magnumst I suspect you have a 2008 or so Chevrolet or GMC truck. The ecm update will fix this problem. Just to make sure your vehicle has a program update on any module you can use this site and put in your vin.

That's right 2008 Silverado. Was able to get to the dealer on Friday, got the update and a few recalls done. Thanks for the help from the independent shops. My 17 yr old daughter will be needing tires soon so post up if that's on your menu.
