Leupold scopes are infamous in some circles for being 10-20 years behind the times, especially with reticle choices. Their entire line of scopes desperately needs a complete refresh. The VX-5 on up are good enough glass, but there's less and less to recommend them over competing Vortex/Sig/Athlon/etc. scopes. Leupold generally has one thing really going for it: weight.

Well I was trying to say something nice considering their 3-9 hunting scopes are ubiquitous and they will custom cut a reticle for you for reasonable prices. Their weights are nice. And they try weird stuff like D-EVO. Weird priorities but I appreciate them as a company. Real half-hearted entrants into red dots, LPVO, and PRS though.

They showed it off at SHOT 2019 I believe. And this year it seems that they changed a few things like black instead of gold Leupold ring.
