It's a fun fun to shoot, you should get one :)
But tell them we want an AK-47 mag compatible version too in ban states, especially if achievable in the new modular stocks. It would be popular, even in non ban states, I think.

Are AR mags well-suited for a bolt gun?
    Nononono not at all.

At least not for the MVP. It seemed like a good idea to me at first, but was nothing but problems. Two trips to Mossberg for parts, less than 1k rounds. Grittiest action on a new bolt I've ever shot, only got better after 500rds or so. My Howa 7.62x39 mini was silky smooth on day one, same price.

I'm curious how Ruger makes this happen. Moss needed a patented flapper thing added to the bolt, AR mags sit much lower than conventional bolt action mags, so designers got creative.

Anyone seen detail on how the Ruger does it?

I'm very curious to see how Ruger adapted the bolt to use the AR magazines. The tab was one reason I never bought a MVP.

Does the bolt on the Remington 7615 pump rifle operate similar to an AR rifle?
