    Hello folks. Please see the pictures. It looks like Ruger failed to machine the dovetails into the left side of the rifle's receiver. You can see where they are on the other picture.

    Is this something that a gunsmith can fix? Or that Ruger can fix? Or are they going to need to replace the whole rifle?

    I just checked mine that I purchased 3 weeks ago, cut on both sides. I would contact Ruger ASAP. Let us know how it turns out

    Ruger is very good at making things right. Having said that, the gun shouldn't have made it past QC.

    Ruger is replacing an LCRx .357 due to a terribly mis-machined front sight mounting post (waaay off to the right on the sight rib).I think if they see it’s wrong they’ll put it right. I’m waiting in the replacement now (they said 6-8 weeks)
