Finished building my corona AR pistol today and want to show it to people.
It's isn't too interesting like some of the other crazy stuff I've seen on here but it's my first AR build, except the upper was assembled.

    BCM MK2 12.5" upper
    Anderson lower
    CMMG LPK
    milspec trigger
    Magpul MOE
    Aimpoint PRO
    SBA3 w/ splitfix

I think I kept it all MD/federally legal but someone please chime in if I went over/under on lengths...

28 5/16” brace collapsed to end of not permanently attached muzzle device
27 1/8” brace collapsed to end of barrel
30 15/16” brace extended to end of not permanently attached muzzle device
29 3/4” brace extended to end of barrel
28 1/4” end of buffer tube to end of not permanently attached muzzle device
27” end of buffer tube to end of barrel

I thought there was something federally about >29" lengths but I'm having a hard time finding non-conflicting info.

Nurp. What you're thinking of is not federal, it's Merryland, and only applies to SBRs. Not pistols.

    OP, nice build.

Love them blasters, this one has a Colt 11.5 FBI/HRT Barrel and an SBA4 Brace, then a whole bunch of neat stuff (yes I love to shoot the irons).

    Nice looking gun OP.

Is your 12.5” upper a carbine or mid length gas system? I’ve been reading up a lot on 12.5” barrels and the two different gas system lengths

OP - I think that's a nice build. Now you need to do an eForm1 and SBR it :innocent0

Yeah this brace isn't ideal! But I plan to keep it locked and loaded in my car, and afaik you can't do that with a rifle

My only concern is with the split fix. I wouldn’t go about modifying a brace in any way.

All the BCM 12.5 barrels are carbine gas. Some of them get an FSB at mid-length position to make a Kino config, but that's just the FSB, not a gas port.

Personally I think 12.5 is a bit short for mid-length gas. Lots of 12.5 barrels come with carbine gas so I suppose I'm not alone on that one.
