As most of us know, the problem in Maryland isn't inanimate objects.

    From Change Annapolis on FB:
Maryland’s criminal justice system is terribly broken. Tracey Carrington was a former basketball player at Morgan State University. She was scheduled to testify against two men charged for an April double homicide in Towson.

The two men were initially held without bail. But at bail review, they were released on home detention. Later that month, the names of potential witnesses in that trial were turned over to their defense attorneys.

Last night, a gunman approached Carrington as she was leaving the S&S Lounge in Overlea and shot her multiple times.

Will some people make the same argument they do with illegal immigrants....kind of like destiny?

The victim was destined to be murdered...if it hadn't been the ones that did it, someone else would have. BS.

My heart aches for this girls family. She did the civilized thing and was killed by the thugs, defense atty and the judge.

And people wonder why the standard response usually is: "I didn't see nuthin'"

    Exactly.

We complain about people not willing to step forward and do something about crime, yet we don't protect them or give them the means to protect themselves.

She should have applied for a ccw, I'm sure she would have had G&S and if she applied in June she would have had it in another few months. It is such a shame, she had a promising future.

:sad20: I'm sure the two that were released have alibis, as for their friends....

Guess they're reinforcing the "Don't Snitch" rule for everyone to see:sad20:

What role, if any, did our MD state AG play in changing Maryland's bail standards? Wasn't that one of his few crusades that aren't directed against Trump awhile back?

Is he partly responsible for this?

The system feeds the criminals at the expense of good decent people . The young lady was not as jaded as our group.
She knew nothing about protecting herself and the damn system did not help her or protect her. Lots of people let her down that is for sure . This will happen again.

    Q

Would be worth an investigation how the identity of the witness made it from the defense attorneys files to the post-it with the girls name and address on it that the hit man received to track her down.

    Viva Murderland.

    RIP Tracey.

They used to joke about “...the beatings will continue until the morale improves...”. The murders will continue until accountability improves. Murderland or Chicago or anytown USA. This sh1t ain’t gonna change. You know it. I know it.

    Period. End of story.

Don't know the full story, but if that is the case, then let's start looking at handwriting analysis...

And the police and prosecutors wonder why no one wants to talk. I don't want to bash LE at all, they do a tough job just putting cuffs on this trash. Then to have these lib judges free them to get back to criminal behavior.
