I want to stain my wood stock on my AK. I was hoping to try and match the Magpul OD handguard on it. I know the Rustoleum camo paint I have is a 99% match, but can anyone suggest how to closely match a stain?

Give Tandy Leather Company a look.

They sell a zillion leather dyes (Fiebing's Company) that are alcohol based and beyond perfect for gun stocks.

A company called Insta-Tint also makes high quality alcohol based dye. Though the color selection is limited.

Some Lowes carry the tintable Minwax waterbased stains now. Uses the same tints as paint. See if they can do a match, they should be able to.
