    I spoke with them on the phone to cancel my account and I also emailed them. I was polite in both communications of course.

    Here is the text from the email I sent to customer.service@dickssportinggoods.com, I hope you all will join me.

    I know it does not matter, but it made me feel better.

    Dear Sir or Madam:

    Dick's corporate leadership has decided to side with anti-gun politics and neither I nor my family, nor my friends, will be shopping in Dick's again. Accordingly, I need help in closing/deleting my online account with Dick's.

    I have destroyed my Score Card, photo attached.

    Thanks for your assistance with this!

    My email:

    To whom is may concern;

    I am deeply saddened with the direction Dicks Sporting Goods is going. I had been a long time store goer and purchaser of many products sold in your stores.
    Due to the recent politically motivated decisions of your CEO, in regards to knee jerk decisions on the second amendment, I am destroying my store card. I will do my best to dissuade my friends, family, and co-workers from setting foot in, let alone purchasing from, your stores.
    I wish you the best in your upcoming ventures. Just know that your decisions have far reaching ramifications.

    I wonder if its allowed for private businesses to ask about whether one owns a firearm and that can preclude them from hiring "you"
