Baltimore's Best Pawn/MD Elite Firearms is a great place to go.

Brownstone Trading in Westminster is great, but they have a smaller selection of guns, but carry black powder supplies.

Bollingers Gunsmithing has been 90/10 good for me. Brandy is always pleasant to deal with, I think they are just swamped right now.

Duffy's has been a good place, lots of cool stuff.

I am still wanting to try Geared Up Tactical in Westminster to see how they are.

I would probably not go back to Fox's Firearms.

    Too bad.

They've been a very positive force for 2A in Maryland, bringing and winning numerous lawsuits against the ridiculous legislation emanating from Annapolis.

Considering this is your first post, slamming a business that has supported the firearms community in Maryland for three generations, you might want to try to find something positive to say here.
So he should not relate his experience? Not everyone has a great experience everywhere they go , no matter how many post he has.
Maybe ask him what was wrong with his transaction/visit?

I would recommend 2A, Tylers, A1, Gun Connection, and South Carrol from my experiences for sure. Great people willing to talk to you about what you are looking for. Personally Tylers has been the harder one on my wallet, when i walked in for 1 and ended up with 2 guns due to the prices and wonderful Customer service.

Maybe the idea is instead of just saying it was bad, the new guy should have explained it. The idea of him never having posted before and seeing he just joined today sure makes it look less reasonable.

I must say sometimes it really comes down to an individuals perception of the place when they go into a new shop. You have to realize that gun shops deal with a lot of people that probably should not be allowed to own guns. On the other hand, there are a lot of gun store employees that think they are gifted by god to sell guns and know everything about everything.
Overall, I judge them by how much they are asking over MSRP, and how they treat you after they get your money. It becomes obvious that a lot of shops rely on one time customers to make a living.

Every person has different expectations and preferences .

Employees and customers are both humans . One or other or both could have a bad day , headache, busy and rushed , or a communication hiccup at any given moment .

Any and every GS will have at least one 0% review, and at least one 100% review .

    ********************

I"ve never been to their storefront , but that certain LGS we don't speak the name of is still a regular at gun shows .

I recall a conversation I had maybe 35-40 years ago with Charlie at Anglers. This was back when the now defunct Best Products sold Remington shotguns, among other gun products. He told me he couldn’t buy a Remington 870 wholesale for what Best sold them for retail. The purchasing power of a large chain sometimes makes it impossible for the small shop to compete. I always remember that conversation when I see the prices at my local shop.

You make a good point, that's why I said it's how they treat you after they have your money.

I do not know if this has been stated before, but my experiences with Baltimore/s Best Pawn, South Carroll Sporting and Engage Armaments have been great. I highly recommend any of these IP's.

I went to all geared up for my hql and lower transfer. Donna was great to deal with. Small shop so not much inventory but they are willing to answer all questions you might have. +1 for Baltimore's best pawn too.

Can't say I've ever had a bad experience at a gun shop. I think over the years I've bought from Anglers, Gun Connection, 2A Sales and Supplies, A1, Worth a Shot, and The Armory. Never a problem.
