While it's a good thing to read and study the COTUS and that of MD, it's really too bad that legislatures and most of the lower courts and half the SCOTUS ignore it.
Reminding those people of what these documents say merely annoys them; push too hard and they will retaliate.
You'll have noticed how adroitly they eliminated the venue for outdoor protests, and how the citizenry has generously been allowed nearly 90 seconds to present their concerns - except when they aren't given any time at all.
