Well I tried to change my UF to a different stock. I thought the easiest way would by to put a CAA adapter on it, WRONG, it does not line up with the holes correctly, not even close. See pic. So I have a Manticore Arms triangle stock with folding mechanism lying around, is there any reason I can't drill and tap the trunnion and bolt on the hinge and stock? Any thoughts on the drilling and tapping?? I can use the parts of the CAA adapter to cover to UF holes instead of welding them. In all honesty, AKs are not my thing, but I'm stuck with what I have.

There's a video on youtube of the Military Arms Channel drilling/tapping the Draco trunnion (which I think was an underfolder) for his ace folder...

Drilled and tapped trunnion today. First hole was fairly easy, second hole little more difficult even used another drill bit. Now just have to decide to weld the UF holes or not. Shoulders much better now.

That looks great, I'm still along way from finishing mine but I think I'd like to do something like that.

That doesn't sound good, I'll prob just use the CAA pieces to cover holes.
