Similar legislation enacted in Connecticut, New Jersey, and California have had little to no effect on gun violence in their respective states. It seems to me that supporting an assault weapon ban like SB0281 is a political move that would impose serious infringements upon the second amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America - A document you have taken an oath to uphold. I urge you to reconsider your position.
