It's just a matter of time, Those northern liberal Democrats have the strength to pass any laws they like. Democrats would vote for Manson if he would run.

Maybe they should put more of a focus on the Dover area. Dover violent crime is through the roof. Everyday I see a new robbery in the Dover area. Assholes!

Let them. If the voters want bans, universal checks, etc., the they'll get it. They'll get what they allow their politicians to give them. If they want to join the ranks of what's failed in the past but makes them feel better, then all I can say us THEY WILL GET WHAT THEY DESERVE.

Posts 1 thru 13 were from before this year's legislative session in DE

Delaware DID NOT PASS AN ASSAULT WEAPONS BAN IN 2013, the prediction in this thread did not come true.

The did loose a little ground in 2013, but it was NOTHING compared to MD

I work in Wilmington , live in md. Wilmington is one of the most violent cities in the US, per capita. See Delaware online just yesterday. There use to be a sign going into the city to use caution. NEVER have I seen the police have a gun in cuffs and I work behind the state police station. They may have some gun laws that are better than ours but what a crap hole.

    Hope for the best

I have been waiting for a day off to go switch my lic offer to Delaware after purchasing my retirement home in souther delaware. I really hope it does not follow Md, I live in one of the few conservative locations in md left and our state laws really suck now. Luckily W. va is still a state where you can buy a piece of land and a shack for under $20k which sounds like my next best investment. My son loves it and has his property already. Luckily the 12 gauge, lever action rifle are still viable options in the state on md and at least you can defend your home & family till I move which is only a matter of very short time. I was not born in md and hope not to die in md, just cruisin' thru.

Yes this is an old post, but I just wanted to point out that none of the bills were passed except for the one regarding background checks. In my book, not a big deal as I have nothing to hide.

No one is going to shoot up a school or mall in Delaware. When you drive through there, you get the vibe that "depression" in Delaware is just a way of life. Everything there feels filthy and run down, there isn't anything there worth a damn except casinos and tax-free shopping outlets. Oh, and corn. They have corn.

The Biden family is trying to fish for whatever tiny political victory they can get. If DE passes a MD-style AWB, most people will just shrug and say, "who cares?". DE is not relevant on the world-stage, and they are already fully encapsulated by anti-gun states...MD, NJ, and some cesspool-ish parts of PA (Chester, S Philly).

As someone pointed out, reviving Delaware as a relevant player on the political and economic national/world stages would be a much better way to make a name for yourself than engaging in petty partisan issues. But it's also a lot more challenging, and it sounds more like "Beau" is trying to take the easy way out in leveraging his family-ties, rather than working for his home-state. Which will come back to bite him (and his legacy) in the end.

That's just the sh!t smell from dupont wafting when the breeze trends southerly
