Concealed Carry Restrictions Waived

I was watching a video about hurricane preparation and the presenter mentioned that some states waive concealed carry restrictions when there is a state of emergency. I am probably foolish for asking but is there such a thing in Maryland?

I'm sure you're being foolish...no insult intended. There's no way Maryland would do something like that. I would be very (and pleasantly) shocked if that were the case. The last thing on the minds of Maryland government officials is to allow any more freedom than they can get away with.

Are you practicing for the Maryland General Assembly STAND UP comedy routine this year?

Didn't North Carolina and some other states use to SUSPEND concealed carry during declared emergencies?

Seems they only changed that within the past ten years.

Similar mindset to the notorious door to door confiscations following Katrina: "During a State of Emergency, there is an extraordinary need for Government to exert extraordinary control over the subject population, by suspending civil liberties."

If by "No such thing" you mean civil rights, you're absolutely correct. You have the right to pay taxes and do what you're told. Period.

Don’t suggest this to a politician, MD would likey do exactly the opposite and suspend all use and carry of firearms during a state of emergency.

Civil liberties in Maryland are what the politicians tell us they are. "What's a Constitution?"

To the contrary - MD has a law on the books that gives the governor authority to prohibit all transportation of firearms during declared states of emergency.
