    Last I heard, the suspect didn't fire a shot. Therefore the woman likely was hit by an officer's round. That being said, it was West Baltimore... that bullet could have come from anywhere.

    Did a helo just happen to be in the air? There's no way they could scramble one that quick.

    BPD almost always has a helicopter up. Even Baltimore County has a least one up every night. Used to hear it every night when I lived in Parkville.

    Generally, in both the city and county, unless they’re down for maintenance, weather or refueling, the helos are always up. That said, there are scheduled times when there isn’t coverage in the county. I can’t speak for the city.
