    Hello everyone,
I built an AK from a kit back when the kits were first imported and before the companies like ak-builder came out with their drilling jigs. I mounted the trunnions in the receiver with threaded u-drive screws to avoid having to rivet them. One of the holes I drilled for the front trunnion was buggered and the u-drive screw fell out several years ago. The gun still shoots fine with the other 5 screws in place, but I think it's a good idea to get a rivet in the 6th hole. If someone here has a riveter and a rivet for the rearmost hole on the front trunnion, I would be very grateful if you can help me rivet the hole.
    thanks.

You mean the lower rivet by the magazine well opening? If so, that's an easy one to knock out.

Location? I have the riveting tool, I'd have to see how many rivets I have on hand though.

Yes, it's the lower one just in front of the magazine well. I'm near Fairfax, VA, near the NRA range and HQ, but I can come to MD. I wanted to buy a packet of rivets from AK-builder, but wondered what I would do with the left over rivets, needing just one. Thanks.

A single, or even a pair of non-swell neck rivets - I can likely do w/out and not lose sleep over. ;)

If you have access to a shop press - I have no problem making the drive out, otherwise it may mean a trip to MD.
