Yeah, we'll have to wait and see on street prices. The MSRP on the new GP100 is the same as the 357 versions, so in the shops it should end up closer to $600 (hopefully).

    Redhawk in 357 magnum (8-shot)

The 8-shot Redhawk is something I've been hoping that they would make for a while now. Should be a lot of fun. The 44 special seems interesting too...even though I don't reload and the ammo is expensive.

At four pounds loaded, that Redhawk is a seriously heavy war hammer.

The 357 has a listed empty weight of 44 oz.
    That's 2 lbs 12 oz.
Don't think eight rounds of 357 is gonna add another 20 oz.

The 44 special GP is awesome. I'd absolutely buy the first one with a 6" barrel if/when they add it.

Ruger does seem to be hitting on some things I've wanted them to do for a long time, but thought I'd never see happen; three things in particular:

    1. A 480 Bisley
    2. A 44sp GP100
    3. A 6.5" 41 Blackhawk in stainless

Well, two down, one to go!!!

    Fluteless cylinder just looks good.

My new .454 Alaskan has some finishing improvements over previous years I've noticed. They engraved the "Please read owners manual" under the barrel as opposed to the side of the barrel which cosmetic appeal to me. The trigger edges were rounded and smoothed at the factory, as opposed to my older SP101 that I had a gunsmith do as he was tuning it up for me.

When they offer that 8 shot 357 Redhawk with a longer barrel, say 4" or 5 1/2", it will go straight to the top of my wishlist.

I am saving my lunch money for a Redhawk in 45Colt/45ACP. I think it will be a great combination to play with. Join my GP-100, Security Six and SP-101.
